Vincenzo Todisco, born in 1964, is a writer, children’s book author and lecturer. He has made his literary debut in 1999 with the short story collection Il culto di Gutenberg (The Cult of Gutenberg). Il suonatore di Bandoneon (The Bandoneon Player, 2006) and Rocco e Marittimo (2011) followed, written in Italian and translated into German. In 2018 his most recent book Das Eidechsenkind (The Lizard Child) – the first book he has written in German – was published and nominated for the 2018 Swiss Book Prize. His children’s book Angelo und die Möwe (Angelo and the Seagull) was published in 2003.
